Hotchkiss Schools Alumni Fund
Purpose
The Hotchkiss Schools Alumni Fund provides financial support to the schools in Hotchkiss, Colorado, including scholarships to students graduating from North Fork High School who are descendants of Hotchkiss High School Alumni.
Continuing Education Scholarships Awarded
The Alumni Fund awarded three continuing education scholarships to staff from North Fork High School for the summer 2024. Scholarship recipients include Tracy Ihnot, Jamie Roeber and Kimberly Reyes. The Alumni Fund appreciates all you do for students at North Fork High School!

On Tuesday, May 7, Alumni Fund scholarship committee members Susan Spencer, Debbie Tribble and Karen Marty awarded scholarships to the following North Fork High School graduates (not in order).
Hotchkiss K-8 Scholarship: Piper Smith
Hotchkiss Alumni Fund Scholarships: Tucker Houseweart, Ryder Hart, Joel Rodriguez, Marcos Camacho, Emma Hollembeak and Piper Smith.
Douglass Family Scholarship: Henry Hollembeak

2023 HK8 Classified Staff Award
Hilary Stein was selected to receive the HK8 Classified Staff Award this December. Hilary is a HHS graduate who teaches art at the K8.
2023 NFHS Classified Staff Award and Staff Scholarship
Tim Greenhalgh (left), an aide at NFHS, was selected to receive the NFHS Classified Staff Award.
Dylan Geisler (right), a social studies teacher at NFHS, was awarded a $500 continuing education scholarship from the Alumni Fund. Dylan is studying to receive his masters in Special Education.

Rylee Spencer and Lillian Jardon were presented 2023 Alumni Fund Scholarships, in amounts ranging from $500 to $1,500, by Alumni Fund President, Eric Hollembeak.
Claudia Verdeja was presented the 2023 Eastman Family Scholarship by Alumni Fund President, Eric Hollembeak for $10,000.
Faith Frazier was the 2023 Douglass Scholarship recipient. The Douglass Scholarship, in the amount of $5,000, was awarded in honor of Roger Douglass.
Hotchkiss K-8 Principal, Bryan Hollembeak, presented the 2023 Hotchkiss K-8 scholarship to Yasmin Campos.
2022 outstanding classified employees
Each December the Alumni Fund provides a cash award to an outstanding classified employee at Hotchkiss K-8 and North Fork High School. The Alumni Fund created the awards in recognition of the recipients “above and beyond the call of duty” support of the students and teachers, which contributes to the welfare of the students. Recipients help ensure that students get the best of the best at school and allow teachers to be more efficient thanks to their wonderful support and assistance.
Kim Adam
This year’s recipient of the Hotchkiss Schools Alumni Classified Award for Hotchkiss K-8 is Kim Adam. Kim has been at HK8 for 4 years and what a great addition she has been to the staff. Away from work Kim enjoys helping her husband with the ranch and cows. They have three boys: Gage-14, Dal-11, and Thayne-9. Kim is fun, full of energy and is a hard worker. She goes above and beyond every day to help wherever needed, is a great co-worker and friend.
C'erra Westerman
C’erra Westerman is this year’s recipient for North Fork High School. She has been the varsity volle
yball coach for five years and is an aide at the school. She has also been an assistant coach for girls’ basketball for three years and boys for one. C’erra is very busy helping her husband ranch and work with their cattle. When asked what her favorite thing about working in education is, she stated, “Helping kids build the confidence to grow and achieve. I love being able to be a part of a support group for our kids.”
2022 Scholarships
In May of 2022 the Alumni Fund awarded scholarships to students of the first graduating class of North Fork High School.
Alumni Scholarships
2022 Alumni Fund Scholarships were awarded to the following North Fork High School graduates: Kya Crawford, Isabelle Houseweart, Audren Borgman, Blaine Peebles, Coulson Hollembeak, and Lottie Hollembeak.
Hotchkiss K-8 Scholarship
The Alumni Fund awards a $1,000 scholarship (funded by Hotchkiss K-8) to a graduating senior from North Fork High School who attended Hotchkiss K-8 all 9 years. This year’s recipient is Vianney Mendoza. Vianney will be attending Colorado Mesa University.
Eastman Scholarship
The Eastman Family Endowment Fund is managed by the board of directors. The Eastman Family Scholarship was funded by Pete Eastman, who blessed the Hotchkiss Schools Alumni organization with his estate upon his death in 2018. Benjamin Adam Rodriguez is the third annual recipient of $10,000 from the Eastman Family Endowment Fund.
